The Bond is a comprehensive office redevelopment for Bovis Lendlease involving the conservation and integration of remaining elements of the former AGL gasworks. The project exemplifies private enterprise’s commitment to heritage conservation and adaptive reuse. The gasworks building group are adapted as office accommodation providing contemporary services in a thoughtfully conserved historic setting. The massive rockface is exposed to create a dramatic feature within the new office atrium space. Sandstone retaining walls are also conserved celebrating the heritage of the site which is integrated physically and functionally into the new building.
