Admiralty House, Kirribilli Point, Sydney Harbour was constructed as a private residence in 1844 and subsequently extended and refurbished for a series of residents including the Admiral of the Royal Navy, Australia Squadron. Since 1913, it has served as the Sydney residence of the Governor General of Australia. TKD Architects had an ongoing involvement in the repair, conservation and refurbishment of Admiralty House and its outbuildings over a period of thirty years. The Conservation Management Plan prepared by TKD Architects forms the basis of ongoing projects and these include the refurbishment of the dining and reception rooms, repainting of the exterior and building works.
