A site of significant maritime heritage on Sydney Harbour, the McMahons Point slipways, boat workshop and house have been in-active for years and are in an advanced stage of dilapidation. This renewal project prioritises the conservation of the significant slipways and other artefacts of the site, providing new boat building and repair workshops that are essential to its ongoing operation and will re-establish its historic use. Above the industrial areas is a contemporary residence derived from the historic pattern of buildings on the site and of a scale, detail and materiality appropriate to its setting on this unique parcel of land on Blues Bay.
