The Hamilton Lounge, a boutique street-level bar and dining area is part of the extensive restoration works at the Brisbane City Hall. This stylish area is also available for private functions, weddings and corporate events. The new interior design is a contemporary insertion into the original Council Rates Office with its ornate coffered ceilings, decorative columns and unusual steel-framed arched windows. The original Rates Office counter was transformed into the Lounge’s bar. The introduction of dramatic light fittings, bronze screen designs, decorative wallpaper and colourful furniture creates a new experience within an older building.
