Dining Hall, Frensham

Client: Frensham School

Frensham is an all-girls Boarding and Day School with 300+ students. Ensuring the dining hall can serve as a dining and a social setting, the space is column free. This allows flexibility, accommodating functions and events. The design mirrors the gable roof of the original dining room, vaulted ceilings and wainscoting while using contemporary materials and detailing. The forecourt to the dining room is designed with new landscaping providing an enhanced entry into the building and space for outdoor functions while creating a connection with the main campus. The Kennedy Boarding House Alterations and Additions includes an upgraded entry, 2-storey additions and new student common rooms on several levels.
