The iconic Sydney Footbridge Theatre has reopened after a 20-year hiatus, marking an exciting new chapter for both the venue and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. With 230 seats, the theatre now serves as a dedicated space for students to create and perform musical theatre productions. The refurbishment updates the theatre to meet the evolving needs of today’s students, re-establishing it as a fully functional proscenium theatre with modern AV and sound systems, improved accessibility, and enhanced backstage facilities. The project also includes a new fly tower, stage, orchestra pit, and flexible rehearsal space to support diverse creative work.
