Six-hundred students in years 10, 11 and 12 attend Cammeraygal High school, Crows Nest. To accommodate them in a new Senior Campus, the interior of a 1980s building in the former TAFE Northern Sydney Institute was redesigned. The budget was limited and not all finishes and fittings could be changed. TKD carefully selected and located finishes to blend the junctions between old, demolished and new areas. The design brought this 1980's building back to life. The NSW Department of Education hails it as an exemplary example of effectively refurbishing and repurposing an existing building.
