A new home for Australian Catholic University’s Institute for Positive Psychology and Education (IPPE) brings their programmes together over 2 levels in Caroline Chisholm House, North Sydney (ACU Building 533). The design supports and enhances the ethos of collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas within a flexible space. This allows the teams to meet individually or collectively. The IPPE design loosens traditional office planning by developing creative lounges at key circulation points for informal communication. Lab spaces for project-based work in psychology and education are designed to adapt to the changing nature of the Institute’s work.
