This project focused on the realisation of the development potential of a 1970’s office tower at the northern end of the Sydney CBD.
Key aspects of the proposal involved:
Incorporation of a pedestrian through site link connecting Clarence Street and Kent Street with increased future usage likely with development of Barangaroo (East Darling Harbour)
Enlargement of the foyer space by combining space with an adjacent cafe and increasing the foyer height within the new infilled section. The cafe further provides increased activity and amenity for the foyer
Provision of considered street landscaping, seating and weather protection for improved public amenity
A new facade treatment and modelling will positively contribute to the city fabric, substantially enhance the building’s appearance and increase the building’s environmental performance.
